Hello, I’m Susie. I met Alex Wallace (leader of
Jabulani Project) through my work as a psychotherapist and trainer in
Edinburgh. As an ex-teacher, trainer in counselling, psychotherapy and
supervision, I discussed with Alex the possibility of helping teachers to work
more effectively with kids in distress in Umlazi. I came to South Africa for
the first time in October 2012, and have been involved with mainstream and
special schools both in Umlazi and elsewhere in Durban.
