My name is Christine Knight and I retired last summer
after working in education in Scotland for 40 years, in schools, as an adviser
and education officer and for the last ten years as a inspector of schools and
services for children. I came to Durban
because I had always wanted to work in Africa but family circumstances makes it
difficult to do a long term placement. I am here for three weeks. I also came
because I really respect the aims and approach of Jabulani, and Alex Wallace
who is the inspiration behind it. Fighting injustice is the aim, and there is
plenty to fight here.
