Eilidh's Profile

My name is Eilidh Russell and I am one of the many Jabulani warriors. I visited Durban last year with James Gillespie's High School and loved it. So, once I finished school in summer, I got a job as a lifeguard and swim teacher to save up so I could return to Durban as part of the Jabulani project and help people as much as I can!
Since I arrived I have been enjoying working with many different projects. I especially enjoy working in a creche in Umlazi. I love the way the children's faces light up when they see us arrive, as they know we are there to spend the morning with them. I am also finding the work at Sisco very interesting as some of the boys are managing to tell us how they ended up on the streets.
